sour FUSS OVER LEMONS

I have recently adopted having fresh lemons in my daily ritual starting with a glass of squeezed lemon with warm water first thing in the morning and to be followed by a tall glass of immune turmeric & lemon water kefir around midday.  My definition of winding down and relax at the end of every day is having the refreshing organic green tea & lemon Kombucha with a slice of lemon on the side.

Having consumed a considerably amount of lemons in the recent months,  I do feel a significant, positive change on how my body feels and look.  The benefits of this sour fruit are undeniable and like to share with everyone the real facts & uses of lemons.

BENEFITS OF LEMONS:

1. Drink a glass of lemon with warm water first thing in the morning helps to flush out toxins in our bodies.

2. Lemon with water also aids with digestion in our bodies and encourages the production of bile.

3. A great source for citric acid, potassium, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium.

4. Prevention of any growth or multiplication of bacteria that causes infections and diseases.

5. Helps to reduce pain and inflammation in joints and knees.

6. A cure for the common cold

7. Potassium in lemons helps to nourish our brain and the nerve cells

8. Lemons help to strengthen and stimulate the liver enzymes for detoxification purposes. 

9. Those who are concerned about their outlook appearances, lemons are especially good for the complexion and they prevent the formation of wrinkles and acne on our face.

10. Lemon helps to take care of our eyes as well as fights against eye problems.

11. It replenishes and maintain our body salts especially after a strenuous workout session.

Lemons are great for cleansing and has amazing healing effects towards our health in the long run.  Is it worth having a sour fuss over lemons?  I will let you to decide for yourself.

"DANCING IN THE DARK"? WHAT IS THis HYPE that is sweeping across the world?

When the lights go down, the music goes up and you tune in to the different vibrations. You experience everything so much more intensively. 

You might think this is your regular Saturday night out clubbing experience.  But this is not the case anymore.  This is a new wellness concept of dancing in the dark that is sweeping across 70 different cities in North America, Europe, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur and now they are here to stay in Hong Kong. 

This is an incredible opportunity and experience to be in a room fill with abundance energy and positivity and you are able to move like there is no tomorrow in a near darkness room.

First Light is named after the rising sun which in turn symbolises the rising spirit of people. We're pioneering the concept of morning dance in the dark and wellness sessions in Hong Kong to vitalise you for the week ahead. We believe that by dancing together with a wellness activity can change you from inside out.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF FIRST LIGHT?

First light helps to increase your energy level, break down your personal barriers, relive your stress within and to build one's self-confidence. 

 

WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF FIRST LIGHT?

Through this transformational dance and wellness event , the goal is to bring a group of wellness enthusiasts together with the purpose of uniting their minds and bodies, creating common synergies while invigorating and enhancing their overall well-being.

 

DESCRIBE THE PROFILE OF THE ATTENDEES TO FIRST LIGHT?

The profile of attendee is looking to break from their normal routine to do something unconventional.  Someone who enjoys dancing while burning calories at the same time.  The age of a attendee ranges from early twenties to mid fifties (working professionals + housewives) of both genders alike.

 

WHAT CAN THE ATTENDEE EXPECT WHEN HE/SHE STEP INTO THE REALM OF DARKNESS?

Attendees, when entering this sacred space, will be free of all inhibitions and slowly feeling liberated and detached from the world. Pulsating music surrounding the room will enable you to abandon all the worldly worries.

Before taking the attendees back to reality at the end of the session, there is a 5 minutes cool-down paired with sparkling candle light.

The upcoming session of First Light will be on 11 June 2017 at The Annex, Central, Hong Kong. This session will feature a meditation movement session and a gong sound healing ritual. 

Future sessions will take place on weekly (every Sunday as of July) at On The List (6 Duddell Street, Central, Hong Kong).

I have long been focused on helping others take better care of themselves in every way they can. It is my inherent knowing; life is meant to be fully embraced and enjoyed. There is profound importance in living each day to the best of our ability. This means making time to nurture our ‘self’. How we eat is a very powerful expression of how we feel about ourselves and the world around us. Influenced over the years by many great teachers, I’ve learned there are many paths to promoting well-being. Living an harmonious lifestyle and consuming whole ‘real’ foods and feeding our muscles with movement are imperative.

Each of us needs to relearn how to listen to our body and honor the conversation it has with us in a language of symptoms such as: chronic fatigue, depleted energy levels, mood swings, high blood pressure/ blood sugar/ cholesterol, digestive disorders, cravings, headaches, excess weight, arthritis, etc. Responding accordingly, we can overcome chronic illness, accelerated aging, weight challenges, hormonal imbalances and more. I can help you do this by showing you how to tune in to what and how you feel, identify potential health inhibitors and deal with the causes rather than simply silencing or abating the symptoms. Treatment alone is not the path to healing; a lifestyle shift is necessary with proper guidance and support.

Living a balanced life and nourishing yourself with nutrient-rich foods from a rainbow of colors and a full spectrum of tastes is imperative to your health. This involves taking time to shop for, prepare, share and enjoy ‘real food’, consciously consuming your meals. Meals made from living foods with loving hands not factories.
