No Frying, No Baking !!!

Our Raw Green Tea Wasabi Nuts are dehydrated at or below 46ºC/115ºF. This helps to preserve the micronutrients, enzymes and phyto-chemicals that aid our digestion and allow us to maintain our optimal health.

Why Raw?

Raw food is also called living food and it is as close as food can get to its natural form. No or minimal heating (under 46ºC/115ºF) of food preserves the food's vitamins, enzymes and phytonutrients as much as possible and we can benefit from eating it in its most bioavailable form. Raw food prepared in our kitchen is vegan, gluten free, white sugar free, GMO free (and organic as much as possible!)
Benefits of eating raw foods include:
Weight loss - better digestion and higher metabolism.
Immunity boost - rich in living vitamins and antioxidants.
Energy boost - high enzyme content for higher metabolism.
Better digestion - high fibre diet that improves digestion and elimination, and enzyme aids with digestion.

Benefits of Green Tea

Our Organic Green Tea has an extremely high level of SOD (Superoxide Dismutase) – 160,000 units/g*, which is 34 times more than rooibos tea (4,700 units/g). Antioxidants protect your cells from the damage caused by free radicals which also cause ageing and diseases.
SOD has the ability to remove the superoxide in our body and the higher the number, the stronger the effect.
Green tea is also known to:
-       Lower the risk of cancer
-       Improve brain function
-       Improve dental health
-       Lower the risk of type II diabetes
-       Boost metabolism and help lose weight

What is sprouting?

Sprouting is a process we do for all the nuts and seeds used at our kitchen. By soaking and rinsing the nuts and seeds in water, it helps remove the enzyme inhibitors that are keeping them dormant and wake them up for sprouting! Sprouted nuts and seeds are considered to be "alive" and they not only have higher nutrient content compared to it's dormant state, but the vitamins and minerals in these sprouted nuts and seeds are also in a much more bio-available form for us to utilize in our body.
Another important reason to sprout is to remove the phytic acid. Phytic acid is a natural acid found in unsprouted nuts, seeds and grains. When it enters our body it causes problems by binding with minerals such as Calcium, Magnesium, Iron and Zinc and blocks the absorbtion of these minerals which can lead to mineral deficiency. It is a very important process to sprout before consuming any nuts, seeds and grains.

HAVE YOUR TEA AND …EAT IT!
GREEN TEA IS NOT ONLY FOR DRINKING. IT IS ALSO USED AS A “CONDIMENT” IN JAPAN. THERE ARE MANY TYPES OF JAPANESE NOODLES WITH GREEN TEA POWDER BLENDED IN THE DOUGH THAT MAKES GREEN NOODLES LIKE “CHA SOBA”. IT IS ALSO COMMON TO SERVE TEMPURA WITH “MATCHA JIO” WHICH IS A BLEND OF GREEN TEA POWDER AND SALT. JAPANESE HAVE BEEN “EATING” GREEN TEA FOR CENTURIES AND BENEFITTING FROM ITS HIGH ANTIOXIDANT PROPERTIES.
OUR GREEN TEA IS FROM A 35 YEAR OLD ORGANIC FARM AND THE RECENT LAB REPORT SHOWS IT CONTAINS SUPER HIGH ANTIOXIDANTS*.

The tea leaves are steamed at a very low temperature. Enjoy the infused flavor of green tea with a pinch of wasabi on these sprouted organic nuts.
